Global Ambassadors

"Study abroad will change your life. It will make you more independent, self-reliant, and be the best few months of your life." -Patricia O'Connor

Upon returning from study abroad, students are invited to apply to become a Global Ambassador for the Lasell College Office of International Services. Upon successful completion of an application, the student will then be contacted by International Services and invited to serve as a Global Ambassador.

What is it?
The Global Ambassador Program provides an outlet for students who have studied abroad to share their experiences with other students and continue to use what they learned abroad upon return to Lasell. Global Ambassadors provide peer to peer guidance to prospective study abroad students as well as help the Office of International Services plan and execute programs and activities related to study abroad.

Who is eligible?
A Lasell student who has previously studied abroad

What would I do, exactly?

  • Students who meet the program criteria will need to commit, at minimum, to the following:
  • Answer inquiries from prospective students
  • Assist with at least three program or activities each semester
  • Assist with Pre-Departure Orientation every semester
  • Attend the Global Ambassador meetings that occur every three weeks throughout the semester

What will I learn?
Students who become a Global Ambassador will improve their presentation skills as well as learn how to work with their peers in a leadership role.

How can I find out more?

Contact the Office of International Services for additional information.

Global Ambassador positions are unpaid.
