Types of Financial Aid

Our Undergraduate financial aid package is a combination of need-based grants from federal, state, and institutional resources; academic or merit awards; and self-help aid such as loans and Federal Work-Study. Academic and merit awards are determined at the time of admission.

Types of Aid

  • Scholarships & Grants: Based on merit and need, scholarships and grants are gift aid available from Lasell and state and federal government.
  • Loans: Low-interest loans are offered through the Federal Direct Loan Program.
  • Student Employment: Gain skills and earn money through on-campus jobs funded through Work-Study and Lasell.
  • Veterans Benefits: Qualified veterans and their families may be eligible for reduced tuition.

Based on the information provided on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and to the Office of Student Financial Planning, we will determine your financial need and meet as much of that need as possible with a combination of Lasell, federal, and state funding from both grants and loans, and with Federal College Work-Study.

Remember to complete the FAFSA with the Lasell FAFSA Code 002158

Changes to Your Family’s Financial Situation

If you or your family’s financial situation has changed significantly from what is reflected on your federal income tax return (for example, if you’ve lost a job or otherwise experienced a drop in income), you may be eligible to have your financial aid adjusted. Complete the FAFSA questions as instructed on the application (including the transfer of tax return and income information), submit
your FAFSA form, then contact the our office to discuss how your current financial situation has changed.
