Athletics
The Athletic Center, Edwards and McClelland will be open as campus conditions allow. If the University is closed, when we are able to resume campus operations we will post the hours for the facilities on our webpage: Lasell Intramurals and Recreation, Lasell Athletics Twitter: Lasell Athletics Twitterand Lasell Athletics Instagram: Lasell Athletics Instagram. Athletic Center availability will be subject to varsity team practices.
For varsity teams, those communications will be internal based on the status of the facilities and ability to get staff to campus based on travel conditions. Coaches will communicate directly with their players based on decisions made from myself, you and campus police, so there will be no external facing communications.

Facilities
- Snow and ice removal operations: Facilities will be actively monitoring conditions and will prioritize snow removal and ice mitigation on main pedestrian routes, building entrances, emergency access points, and primary parking lots. Secondary walkways and low-traffic areas may take longer to clear during prolonged or heavy snowfall.
- Community safety expectations: Students, faculty, and staff use caution when traveling outdoors, wear appropriate footwear, allow extra time for movement across campus, and avoid restricted or uncleared areas when possible.
- Facilities response and reporting: Report hazardous conditions (e.g., icy walkways, building access issues) through Campus Police.
- Building operations: Facilities will continue to monitor building systems during the storm to maintain heat, power, and essential services, and respond to any weather-related building issues as they arise.
- Donahue’s Gear Shop will be closed, and the shuttle service will be unavailable.
Holway Barn & Rockwell
Holway ECC Barn & Rockwell will follow the delays and/or closures of the university. It would be helpful if decisions regarding weather related changes could be made by 5:30am. However, I know this is not always possible. Holway ECC opens to all the families at 8am. My first shift of staff arrives for 7:30am and many travel an hour or more to campus. Additionally, this allows my families to make alternative childcare arrangements if needed. Thank you for taking all areas of campus into consideration.
