All Tuesday and evening classes are canceled. Faculty are once again encouraged to communicate directly with students regarding any course-related updates, including alternative assignments or syllabus adjustments. University staff should also check with their managers again for specific information related to their department.
Campus Safety
Parking:
- Due to the storm, we ask that you keep your vehicle parked in its current location. All three on-campus garages are currently at capacity. Please do not move your car until further notice.
- Shovels will be available at the Campus Police station for students who need assistance clearing snow from their vehicles. Students can present a valid Lasell ID to sign out a shovel.
- The city of Newton has declared a parking ban, that includes Maple St, Myrtle Ave, and Seminary Ave.

- Office of Student Affairs and Residential Life will also be closed.
- Residential Life staff will still be available to support students.
- Professional Residential Life staff will be on-call to respond to urgent concerns during normal on call hours.
- RA duty coverage and residence hall rounds will continue during the closure during normal duty hours.
- If students need immediate assistance or have an emergency, students should call Campus Police.
- Non-urgent questions or requests will be responded to once the University reopens.
- With the severe cold weather, students are urged to keep all windows closed in the Residence Halls.

The Counseling and Health Centers

The library will open at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday with staff working remotely and student workers staffing the building.
Shuttle Service
Shuttle operations are cancelled for Tuesday.
Athletics
- Edwards Fitness Center will be open on Tuesday - 6:30 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.

- On Tuesday, the mailroom will be operating on a modified schedule from 10 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

- Snow and ice removal operations:
- Snow removal and ice mitigation will be ongoing throughout the storm, with priority given to main walkways, building entrances, emergency access routes, and Valentine Hall dinning. Due to the blizzard conditions and high winds, clearing the snowdrifts will be a constant challenge for the duration of the storm. Please use caution.
