In anticipation of a significant snowstorm, the Lasell University campus will be closed on Monday, January 26th. All day and evening classes on Monday are canceled.
Student Information
Please check your Lasell email and Canvas for any updates from your professors regarding potential syllabus adjustments or asynchronous activities.
To ensure you receive text alerts regarding campus-wide updates, please visit the Campus Police page on MyLasell to confirm your notification settings.
By Saturday at 5pm, we ask that all students please move their vehicles into one of the three campus garages. Shovels will be available at the Campus Police station for students who need assistance clearing snow from their vehicles. Students can present a valid Lasell ID to sign out a shovel.
To avoid pipes from freezing, students should keep dorm room windows closed and not prop doors open.
To report concerns related to public areas of campus or hazardous conditions on stairs, sidewalks, or access ramps, please contact Campus Police at 617-243-2269 (24-hour service).
Facilities will continue to monitor building systems throughout the storm to maintain heat, power, and essential services and will respond to weather-related issues as needed. Facilities will work closely with Campus Police and Residential Life to support continuous operations and emergency response.

On Monday The Brennan Library will open at 10:00 a.m. Staff will work remotely, with student workers staffing the building.

- Students needing assistance should contact Campus Police at 617-243-2279 or seek emergency care at Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
The Offices of Student Affairs and Residential Life
- Residential Life staff will remain available to support students.
- Professional Residential Life staff will be on call during normal on-call hours.
- RA duty coverage and residence hall rounds will continue as scheduled.
- Students with urgent concerns should contact Campus Police.
Athletics
The Athletic Center and fitness centers in Edwards and McClelland will be open as campus conditions allow. Updated hours will be posted on the Lasell Intramurals and Recreation webpage.
Mailroom
The Mailroom will be closed on Monday. Mail and package pickup will not be available.
