School of Communication & the Arts (SOCA) Day

SOCA DAY, is a new twist on our annual COMDay event, reflecting synergies between communication and graphic design in digital media fields and within our school. 

Students Visit ABC News, The View, and Good Morning America in New York City

Students taking the course News and Entertainment Marketing got a behind the scenes tour of iconic ABC shows. The course was taught by Senior Vice President of Marketing and Creative at ABC News, Alan Ives.


Gain practical experience as a writer, editor, photographer, producer, and designer with Lasell's award-winning, student-run fashion magazine, Polished.


Tarnished magazine is written and produced by the students at Lasell University and celebrates the visual and written arts and artists that are active in the Boston area.

1851 Chronicle 

The 1851 Chronicle is published by a group of committed students. The goal of The 1851 Chronicle is to give students an opportunity to voice their opinions about campus happenings. The newspaper covers various events that occur both on and off campus that are of interest to the Lasell University community.

The School of Communications & the Arts' faculty members are experienced in print, online, and broadcast journalism, digital storytelling, fine art, and graphic design.
