Admissions

Michael Curran '26

Minor: Journalism

Being a communication major has opened up many doors and opportunities for me on campus including getting involved with our school newspaper, the 1851 Chronicle.

Why did you choose Lasell?

I knew Lasell was right for me when I first visited the campus. I loved how the campus was so interwoven with the Auburndale and the Newton community - that's what made me really fall in love with it.

I also was drawn to the small class sizes and the professor to student ratio which I knew would make sure I could make connections with my professors.

What activities or organizations do you participate in?

I am editor-in-chief of our school newspaper, The 1851 Chronicle. I was also as a peer mentor and the class secretary for the class of 2026. I also am on the Cross Country Track team

What opportunities has the Communication major provided you?

Being a communication major has opened up many doors and opportunities for me on campus including getting involved with our school newspaper, The 1851 Chronicle. Our professors have great experiences to share and are able to help students get to where they want to be - Inside and outside of the classroom.

What is your favorite activity to do off campus ?

I love to go into Boston with my friends. Boston is a great city. There's so much to do. And it's really accessible to get to from the campus.
