The Massachusetts Guarantee is a statewide effort to establish systematic transfer pathways between Massachusetts’ community colleges and participating four-year independent institutions. The Massachusetts Guarantee mitigates credit loss and increases student success by ensuring admission into participating independent colleges for associate degree holding students. Students who have graduated from a Massachusetts Community College with an associate’s degree can transfer to Lasell University easily and seamlessly.
How it Works
Lasell University guarantees admission for all students who have graduated from a Massachusetts community college with an associate’s degree and a minimum GPA of a 2.5. We also guarantee that all credits earned towards graduation will apply toward a Lasell degree. Students who transfer to Lasell through the Massachusetts Guarantee program will enter as third-year students, waive most (if not all) core curriculum requirements, and will meet with a faculty advisor to design the rest of their academic path.
Students who are accepted to Lasell University through the Massachusetts Guarantee program will be eligible for all scholarships and financial aid opportunities as a traditional transfer student.
Students who are interested in pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Forensic Science or Criminal Justice may be required to take additional courses as there are very specific accreditation restriction within those programs. Please contact the Office of Undergraduate Admission at 617-243-2225 or email info@lasell.edu for more information.
