International candidates seeking admission to Lasell University's graduate degree or certificate programs must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and demonstrate through academic background and/or work experience the ability to succeed in graduate studies. GRE/GMAT scores are not required for admission.

- Transcripts that are not from the U.S. need to be evaluated by a foreign credential service. We accept evaluations from:
- What is a foreign credential evaluation?
A foreign credential evaluation will convert foreign grades to the grading scale used in the United States. This document verifies that students have what in the United States is considered a bachelor's degree. It must be submitted for any degree earned abroad and must be received directly from the evaluator. Any evaluation received that is not SpanTran, WES, ECE or CED will be accepted.

- What is a Declaration of Finance? The Declaration of Finance is an internal document that must be filled out by the student and signed by their sponsor. It must be submitted with financial statements showing the amount listed on the document. If a student has multiple sponsors than they must submit multiple DOFs.

- Proof of English language proficiency score from one of the following;TOEFL score minimum required is 79 IBT or 550 paper (Lasell code: 3481)

Scholarships Available
$2,000 or $4,000 scholarships are available.
Requirements
- Complete a graduate program application with all submitted documents.
- Well-written personal statement. The essay should show passion and dedication for the program of study and clearly state how this degree will positively impact their career and personal growth.
- Demonstrate strong experience in resume.
- Strong academics
- Minimum cumulative undergraduate 3.2 GPA for a $2,000 scholarship
- Minimum cumulative undergraduate 3.4 GPA for a $4,000 scholarship
Frequently Asked Questions
I have a J visa, can I still study at Lasell University?
No, those with on J visa, will not be able to study on a J visa. You would need to change your status from J to F. For more information on how to go about this you can contact the Office of International Student Services at iss@lasell.edu
Do you have Day 1 CPT?
No, we do not. We offer CPT during your last semester for some programs, for more information contact the Office of International Student Services at iss@lasell.edu
Can I study on a H1B?
Yes, those who hold H1B visas can study on it. - How do I transfer my I-20?
Do you have OPT/STEM OPT?
Yes, you’re eligible for OPT, most students do it post-graduation for up to one year. We don’t have STEM OPT eligible programs for the extension.
Can foreign credential evaluations be waived?
No, foreign credential evaluations cannot be waived, no application will be reviewed without it.
What is a foreign credential evaluation?
A foreign credential evaluation is a document that converts your grades and GPA to the 4.0 grading scale we use in the United States.
