Resources for Commuter Students
Students who live off campus are encouraged to take advantage of the many services and activities that Lasell has to offer on campus. Get involved and become a part of the Lasell community! Commuter Lounge
The Commuter Lounge is located on the ground level of the Intercultural and Commuter Cottage at 70 Maple St. It is reserved for use by commuting students and graduate students and the hours are listed below. The space contains a seating area, a bathroom, work space with two computers, a kitchenette including a refrigerator for student food storage, and several lockers which may be reserved for free (see below).
Monday - Thursday, 7:30 a.m. - midnight
Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, noon - 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, noon - midnight
In addition to the Commuter Student Lounge, the Butterworth Lounge and the Glow Lounge are available 24/7.
Lockers
Lasell offers free lockers to commuter students in the Commuter Lounge. They are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Students must provide their own padlock and clean out their locker at the end of each semester. To reserve a locker please email offcampusliving@lasell.edu.
Computers
Including the two computers found within the commuter lounge, there are also many computer labs for use around campus. They include the new Alden Math Lab (in the lower level of the Brennan Library), as well as Doran, Gregorian, Lowe Teaching Lab, Hayes, Weber and the Science and Technology Center. Labs are open Monday-Friday from 7:45 am-11:45 pm, Saturday from 12 pm-4:45 pm, and on Sunday from 12 pm-11:45 pm.
Public space computers can be found in the Brennan Library, Glow Lounge, Campus Center Lounge, and the third floor of Donahue.
For assistance with technology related issues, the Technology Help Desk is available 24/7! They are located on the lower level of the Brennan Library and can be reached at 617-243-2200 or by email.
Student Support
Commuters in need of academic support have free access to Lasell's Academic Achievement Center (AAC), located on the lower level of the Brennan Library. The Center for Academic Advising and First Year Programs provides first year students additional academic advising services in Bancroft House. Students can make an appointment with the AAC using the online scheduling tool, by email or calling 617-243-2474 to schedule time with a professional or student tutor.
Resources for Students Seeking Off-Campus Housing
Finding your first apartment is an exciting process, and Lasell is here to help you in your journey.
We offer a number of Apartment Hunting Workshops and a Realtor Fair in the Spring semester. Check back for specific times, dates, and locations.
