Position Description:
The Intercultural Program & Initiatives Coordinator (IPIC) will work alongside the Director of the Donahue Institute for Equity and Social Justice with a primary role of overseeing Institute projects and the use of the Intercultural Center and Commuter Cottage (the IC3), coordinating program and initiatives logistics, supervising student workers and interns, and partnering in planning and leading student worker and intern meetings.
The person in this position will be an essential contributor to student life, directing students in need to the proper resources, enhancing student experiences within the IC3, and educating students on the work of the Institute and further ways they can get involved.
- Assist in supervising and coordinating tasks for Institute student workers and interns.
- Oversee the use of the Intercultural Center & Commuter Cottage (the IC3).
- Partner in planning and running student worker and intern meetings.
- Assist heavily in the planning and coordination of events put on by the Institute.
- Promote campus community resources to the undergraduate and graduate student body and employees to raise awareness about the support, organizations, and programming opportunities available to them.
- Nurture strong collaborative relationships across the university, in collaboration with the Institute Director.
- Complete administrative tasks as needed, such as meeting coordination, event scheduling, presentation preparation, and correspondence, etc.
- Serve on university committees and advisory groups as assigned.
- Contribute substantially to the planning of Lasell’s annual U-Belong Celebration.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
- The position will require 20 hours of work/week.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Must be accepted and enrolled in a Lasell University master’s program.
