Students are prepared with expertise in garment design, textiles, pattern making, product development, and more.

Fashion Merchandising and Management
Students are provided experience and expertise in product merchandising, buying, supply chain and retail management, and more.

Fashion Media and Marketing
Students are prepared for the field of fashion journalism and communication, and are provided expertise in mass media, styling, public relations, advertising, branding, fashion marketing, and more.

Fashion Show

Lasell's annual, student-run fashion show allows Design and Production students to showcase their latest designs, Merchandising and Management students to create the set, and Media and Marketing students to promote the show. 

Lasell Fashion Collection

The Lasell Fashion Collection contains approximately 3,000 objects and spans 200 years of fashion history. The Lasell Fashion Collection, notable for its 20th-century designer fashions with an emphasis on couture, presents students the opportunity for extensive costume research.

Career & Internship Opportunities

The School of Fashion provides professional experiences to prepare students to be career-ready. 100% of students within the School of Fashion complete at least 1 professional internship, ranking Lasell by the U.S. News & World Report as 1 of 6 schools nationwide where 100% of students participate in an internship. 96% of Lasell alumni were employed or in graduate school within 6 months after graduation. Paris Immersion Program

Lasell has over 75 study abroad programs that allow students to travel to over 40 countries and gain international experience. Students within the School of Fashion can travel to Paris, France, to work Men's Fashion Week, take classes with industry experts, and immerse themselves in the Paris fashion industry.


studio1851 allows many of Lasell University's students to apply the decision-making, leadership, accounting, visual, merchandising, and marketing skills they learn in the classroom to our Retail Innovation Lab on campus — all while gaining valuable experience to put on their resumes. 

Polished Magazine

Lasell's award-winning, student-run fashion magazine, Polished, provides students from all fashion majors the opportunity to gain practical experience as writers, editors, photographers, stylists, producers, and designers.

National Retail Federation's Student Association (NRFSA)

Lasell University's School of Fashion is one of only seventy-five universities that are a member of the National Retail Federation's Student Association (NRFSA). The NRFSA membership offers students networking opportunities, recognition, and the latest industry news.
