The School of Fashion offers students hands-on opportunities, connecting the classroom with real industry experiences.  Lasell's Connected Learning philosophy directly involves students with unique program experiences such as the annual student fashion show, the Lasell Fashion Collection, Lasell's student-run, award-wining fashion publication Polished, Lasell's student-run pop-up shop Studio1851, and the School of Fashion's immersion program during Men's Fashion Week in Paris, France. Student capstone projects involve live case studies collaborating with major fashion companies like Wayfair and Sperry, and students have worked with Converse to curate and build visual displays.

Lasell Fashion Collection

The Lasell Fashion Collection contains approximately 3,000 objects and spans 200 years of fashion history.  The Lasell Fashion Collection is notable for its 20th century designer fashions, with an emphasis on couture, and presents students the opportunity for extensive costume research.

Paris Immersion Program

Lasell has over 75 study abroad programs that allow students to travel to over 40 countries and gain an international experience. Students within the School of Fashion have the opportunity to travel to Paris, France, to work Men's Fashion Week, take classes with industry experts, and immerse themselves in the Paris fashion industry.

Polished Magazine

Lasell's award-winning, student-run fashion magazine, Polished,  provides students from all fashion majors the opportunity to gain practical experience as writers, editors, photographers, stylists, producers, and designers.

National Retail Federation's Student Association (NRFSA)

Lasell College's School of Fashion is one of only seventy-five colleges that are a member of the National Retail Federation's Student Association (NRFSA). The NRFSA membership offers students networking opportunities, recognition, and the latest industry news.

I encourage students to work from a place of curiosity and engage with awareness as they learn about their major but also about themselves.
