Project: Fashion From the Inside Out

Explore fashion and accessories from the Lasell Fashion Collection during a time in history when youth culture drove the ready-to-wear industry. By incorporating Adobe Premiere, the viewer has the opportunity to see and learn about all the layers of dress contained in this display. Each feature comes to life through a computer screen in rotating format, enabling a more comprehensive experience related to the importance of historic items that articulate both function and trend. This type of programming has many possibilities for costume collections as a way to engage and inspire viewers, as the critical relationship between technology and fashion continues to evolve.

Support for this project provided by Professor Jill Carey, Curator of the Lasell Fashion Collection
