How has your master’s program impacted your personal and professional growth?

- My master's program, Master of Science in Criminal Justice, has impacted my personal and professional growth by giving me the opportunity to interact with students from all walks of life, both professionally and informally, and learn their unique perspectives.

How has the master’s program prepared you for your future career goals?

- My master's program has prepared me for my future career goals by giving me an edge compared to other applicants due to pursuing this form of higher education. I also believe my analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills have improved due to the diverse assignments given.

Can you share a particular project or experience you found especially valuable during your time in the program?

- A project that I found to be valuable during my time in the master's program was my capstone project, which was on whether DNA evidence impacts juror decisions through the CSI Effect. This project was an adaptation from my undergraduate capstone, also at Lasell, on whether students who enroll in Forensic science programs do so because of the CSI Effect. I appreciated being able to take my previous research one step further.

How has your perspective on your field of study or industry changed since the beginning of the program?

-  I don't believe that my perspective on my field of study has changed since the beginning of the program. However, I am now hyper aware of how those in this program are already in established positions and pursue a master's degree to further their positions and gain new academic experiences, which is admirable.
