Why did you choose Lasell?
Lasell offers a variety of graduate programs and I found the one I wanted to pursue - a Master's in Digital Media. Additionally, Lasell's location nearby Boston area was very convenient and appealing to me.
How has your academic program or professors helped prepare you for your future career?
Several courses have already had a strong impact on my learning and professional development:
- Communication Research has provided the foundation for my entire graduate program. Professor Obeng is patient and highly knowledgeable, and he helped me overcome difficult concepts. I have benefited from this course throughout my later studies.
- Organizational Communication has taught me how to manage a company and address group issues effectively. Professor Covarrubias is kind and engaging, and I truly enjoyed her class.
- Writing for Public Relations is an especially interesting course. In addition to improving my writing skills, I’ve learned how to think and act like a PR professional, how to handle crises with a sharp mindset, and how to use AI to generate broadcast content. Professor Markos also organized two excellent panel discussions, which were extremely valuable for our future careers.
- The Digital Marketing course I am studying this semester is also amazing. Professor Plumb has taught me a great deal. The assignments are challenging, but I make progress each week.
