Overview
The Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM) Certificate program will prepare you for entry into the specialized field of neurophysiological monitoring within surgical and interventional healthcare settings. Through a combination of online coursework, in-person laboratory instruction, and supervised clinical experiences, you will develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to support patient safety and surgical decision-making during complex procedures.

Program Mission
The mission of the Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM) Certificate program is to prepare competent, ethical, and workforce-ready neuromonitoring professionals through high-quality, applied education grounded in scientific knowledge and clinical practice. Through a hybrid instructional model and supervised clinical training, the program develops the technical expertise, critical thinking, and professional behaviors necessary to support patient safety and effective interdisciplinary collaboration in surgical settings. In alignment with CAAHEP standards, the program is committed to academic excellence, experiential learning, and advancing access to specialized healthcare careers.

Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM) is a growing allied health specialty that plays an important role in supporting patient safety during surgical procedures. Requirements
The Intraoperative Neuromonitoring Certificate is suited for students who want to start an exciting career as an Intraoperative Neuromonitoring Technologist. This online certificate program does not require the SAT/ACT.

Application Deadline: August 15, 2026
Admission Timeline: All applicants must complete an interview with the Admission Committee. Interview invites will be sent out on a rolling basis once your application is complete. All decisions will be sent within one week of your interview.
