The School of Communication & the Arts seeks adjunct instructors in Communication for on campus and online courses in the Fall 2021 term.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide in-person or online instruction for course sessions, per designated course modality, utilizing the college philosophy of connected learning (teaching and learning support provided for instructors)
- Maintain 1 office hour each week per course
- Incorporate the use of Canvas Learning Management System in all aspects of course delivery
- Provide a syllabus and course outline to students that clearly communicates course content and requirements
- Keep accurate records of student progress through the Canvas gradebook feature and provide timely feedback to students as defined by Lasell Teaching & Learning Center guidelines
- Complete attendance reports, mid-semester progress reports and submit final grades by deadlines established by registrar
Given ongoing uncertainty due to COVID, the university is planning on face-to-face teaching, except in courses designated as online. Instructors should be prepared to teach remotely if circumstances change, and to accommodate both in-person and remote learners in the same section if necessary.
Qualifications
- A master's degree or higher in Communication or a related field. Professional experience in a communication field, prior college-level teaching experience, and familiarity with online learning management systems preferred.
