About the Archives

Winslow Archives hold a variety of historical materials pertaining to Lasell College, making it an invaluable resource for research on the college, the Auburndale area, and women's education. The archives' holdings include:

  • College records, including committee minutes, administrative records, course catalogs, and syllabi
  • College publications, including newsletters and yearbooks
  • Films, photographs, and audio recordings
  • Alumni and faculty manuscripts and publications
  • College ephemera
Mission statement

The mission of the Winslow Archives of Lasell College is to:

  • Serve as the institutional memory of Lasell College by collecting, arranging, describing, preserving, and making accessible records that document the history and growth of Lasell from its beginnings as the Auburndale Female Seminary in 1851
  • Provide environmentally safe conditions for the storage, preservation, and security of all archival materials
  • Provide reference assistance to Lasell students, faculty, and staff, as well as, to visitors who wish to research and explore Lasell’s rich history
