The School of Health Sciences at Lasell University seeks an adjunct professor to teach (2) section of   Business Statistics in the Fall 2022 semester.

The courses will meet in person:

·        Tuesday and Thursdays 8:00-9:15 AM   (MATH 209.A)

·        Tuesday and Thursdays 12:30-1:45 PM (MATH 209.B)

Course Title: Business Statistics

Description

This is an introductory course in descriptive and inferential statistics focused on applications in business. Topics include: data analysis, and graphical methods of describing data, measures of central tendency and variability, time-series analysis, trend and seasonality analysis, simple and multiple correlation and regression analysis, sales and cost forecasting, probability, expected monetary value, and the Normal distribution.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Provide instruction for all sessions of assigned courses utilizing the college philosophy of connected learning
Align course assignments with departmental learning outcomes and university core curriculum learning outcomes; provide student work samples for assessment purposes
Incorporate Canvas (learning management system) into the course
Maintain office hours each week
Keep accurate records of student progress and complete mid-semester and final grade reports

Minimum Qualifications:

• Candidates should have M.S, M.Ed., or equivalent (PhD preferred) in related field

• Prior undergraduate-level teaching experience

• Strong communication skills, ability to provide mentorship and guidance remotely by email, phone and or video call, and willingness to offer extensive feedback on student work Required
