The Center for Academic Advising and First Year Programs oversees all academic advising for undergraduate students, and serves as an additional resource for students and faculty. The Center for Academic Advising and First Year Programs provides additional services for first-year students including First Year Seminar, peer mentoring and peer advising. The Center aims to help your student succeed as a productive member of the Lasell community.

University Advancement

University Advancement (commonly known as Alumni Relations) is with your student every step of the way. Before your student graduates, they can join the Student Alumni Association (SAA), which is composed of student leaders ranging from first years to seniors who engage with Lasell’s alumni community, and serve as liaisons to alumni on behalf of the current student community.

Once your student graduates and becomes an alum of the University, they will automatically join more than 17,000 of their peers in the Lasell University Alumni Association (membership is free). Campus Police

The Lasell University Police Department (commonly known as Campus Police) is staffed by a group of dedicated officers who work tirelessly to ensure that the Lasell community remains a safe place to live, work, and visit. A shuttle service is provided to students seven days a week (excluding break periods) throughout the academic year. During the hours that the shuttle is not operating, Campus Police will escort students, when requested, to ensure their safety. There are also more than 15 Code Blue lights around campus, allowing students to push a button or call in an emergency from anywhere on campus. In addition to offering students safety and prevention services, Campus Police is also responsible for on-campus parking and student IDs.

The Center for Community-Based Learning (CCBL) provides support and opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to engage with community organizations on mutually beneficial projects. These nonprofits include:

Off-Campus Living and Commuter Student Services connects students who live off campus with the campus community. If your student commutes to Lasell, they have access to Lasell's Commuter Lounge, which is located in the Intercultural Center and Commuter Cottage (commonly known as the IC3) and is equipped with:

• several lockers that may be reserved for free

The Counseling Center offers free, confidential, short-term counseling to address personal concerns, problems, or difficult feelings as students grow toward independence and satisfaction with life. All concerns are addressed with sensitivity to and respect for diversity and individuality. The Counseling Center maintains strict standards of privacy and confidentiality. For those students needing care beyond the scope of the services offered, for example, a psychiatric evaluation, or specialized substance abuse or intensive mental health treatment, the Counseling Center can assist with referrals to services in the local community.

Graduate and Professional Studies

Graduate and Professional Studies offers over 40 master and certificate programs. Master’s programs are primarily 36 and 42 credit programs except for Athletic Training which is 63 credits. Graduate and Professional Studies also offers:

• Fifth Year Option - undergraduates with high academic standing can earn both their graduate and undergraduate degree in as little as five years and save a good amount of money at the same time
• Graduate Housing - graduate students can be a part of a small coeducational, residential community with four size rooms to choose from as well as shared bathrooms, laundry facilities and a communal kitchen (meal plans are optional, but not required)
• Graduate Assistantships (GA) - full-time, matriculated graduate students have the opportunity to gain work experience in their field of study while getting paid and earning their master’s degree (there are a limited number of GA positions available and interested students will need to apply for the position)
• Alumni Discount - Lasell Alumni receive a 10% discount on Master and Certificate programs

Student Financial Services (commonly known as the Financial Aid office) works with incoming and current students to help navigate the process of applying for financial aid. Office of Student Accounts

The Office of Student Accounts is responsible for:

• providing students and their families accurate and timely billing
• payment information and guidance regarding payment of educational costs
• electronic billing such as charges for tuition, room and board, commuter meal plans, and other fees

While Student Accounts office issues bills and collects payment (in most cases), the office is not responsible for managing the specifics of the charge. For example, room and board is administered by the Office of Residential Life. Student Accounts is available to provide information about the best ways to finance your student's education by offering:

• payment plan information
• assistance with enrollment in the school-sponsored health insurance plan
• transfer credit balances to student bookstore accounts
• refunds
• 1098-T tax forms

Electronic bills are generated approximately 30 days prior to the due date each semester.
