Academic Advising and First Year Experience

Academic Advising

The Center for Academic Advising and First Year Programs provides a centralized location for all first-year students' academic advising services.  The Center oversees all academic advising for undergraduate students, and serves as an additional resource for students and faculty. The Center for Academic Advising and First year Programs provides additional services for first-year students including First Year Seminar, peer mentoring and peer advising. The Center aims to help students succeed as productive members of the Lasell University community.

Office: Brennan Library, Main Level
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.


Advising promotes active student participation and supports intellectual and personal development toward academic success.  

Undeclared Option

A specialized academic advisor works closely with students exploring major options, interests, and possible career paths before deciding on a major.

First Year Experience

The first year experience focuses on intellectual exploration, engagement, and social responsibility.
