Adjunct Faculty – Psychology and Research Methods

The Psychology Program in the School of Humanities, Education, Justice & Social Sciences is seeking someone to teach some of our open classes.

These are all face-to-face classes that are already scheduled. Please indicate which sections are of interest to you in your response

• Experimental Design in Psychology: Tues/Thurs 11 - 12:15 with a lab session on Fridays 10 - 12
• Psychology of Diversity: Wednesdays 6 - 8:30 pm
• Psychological Perspectives (PSYC101): Tues/Thurs 8 - 9:15 am

Note for research methods instructors - we also have a section of Research Methods in Criminal Justice if you have related expertise. That section is Mon/Wed 9:30 - 10:30 with a lab on Mondays 10:30 - 1

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide instruction for all sessions of assigned courses utilizing the college philosophy of connected learning.
• Provide a syllabus and course outline to students that clearly communicates course learning outcomes.
• Align some course assignments with departmental and college core curriculum goals learning goals and provide student work samples for college assessment purposes (sample assignments available)
• Maintain office hours each week.
• Incorporate Canvas (online learning platform) into the course.
• Keep accurate records of student progress (grades) and complete mid-semester and final grade reports.

Qualifications:
A willingness to incorporate the college's Connected Learning Philosophy into the course as well as a master's degree in a related field are required (doctoral degree preferred). Career-relevant experience such as research and/or statistics is a plus.
