Adjunct Faculty – Finance and Accounting

The School of Business is seeking adjunct instructor(s) to teach Finance and Accounting courses in the Fall of 2018.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide face to face instruction for all sessions utilizing the college philosophy of connected learning
• Provide a syllabus and course outline to students that clearly communicates course content and requirements
• Maintain 1 office hour each week on campus
• Utilize Canvas (online learning management system) for course material, delivery, grading and
communication

Qualifications: A master's degree or higher in a related field and professional industry experience in Finance and/or Accounting. Prior college-level teaching experience is preferred.

BUSS 201.C - Financial Accounting - M/W 3:30-5:10
BUSS 202.B - Managerial Accounting - M/W 2-3:40

Course descriptions are listed below.

BUSS 201 - Financial Accounting
This course provides students with an applied knowledge of the fundamental accounting process and procedures used in business. Students learn how to identify and record business transactions. In addition, students learn how to create financial statements, as well as how to become intelligent users of financial information.

BUSS202 - Managerial Accounting
In this course, students gain experience in the development and use of information within an organization. Course topics include: cost terms; production costing; cost allocation for planning and control; cost behavior patterns; cost-volume-profit relationships; budgeting; inventory planning and control; pricing decisions; and aspects of investment decisions. Prerequisite: BUSS 201 with a grade C or better.
