Items at Lasell
To find books and other items at Lasell, search the Minuteman Library Network catalog. Books owned by Brennan Library will show up with their call number, which directs you to their location on the shelves.
You can also click the "Lasell University - Brennan Library" button at the top of the search results to restrict the search to items available either online or at Lasell.
Minuteman Library Network
Minuteman is a consortium of 41 libraries in the MetroWest region. To request an item from another Minuteman library to be sent to Lasell, search the Minuteman catalog. From the search results or item details page, click the "Place Hold" button.
You will be prompted to enter your library card number, which is found on the back of your Lasell ID. It is a 14-digit number beginning 23015. By default, your PIN is the last four digits of your card number.
Holds from other Minuteman libraries generally arrive at Lasell in 3-5 business days, and check out according to Lasell's standard loan periods. You will receive an email when your hold is ready to pick up at the library desk.
Commonwealth Catalog
Commonwealth Catalog (ComCat) allows you to request items from libraries across the state of Massachusetts. To request an item, click the pointing finger icon on the search results page, or the "Request This Item" button on the item details page.
ComCat items generally arrive at Lasell in 1-2 weeks, and check out for 28 days with no renewals allowed. You will receive an email when your hold is ready to pick up at the library desk.
Interlibrary Loan
If your item is not available in Massachusetts, fill out the interlibrary loan request form with as much detail as possible. A Lasell librarian will process your request as soon as possible during regular business hours.
Out-of-state ILL items generally arrive at Lasell in 1-3 weeks. Their checkout periods, including renewals, are determined by the lending library. You will receive an email when your hold is ready to pick up at the library desk.
