Information Literacy and Library Instruction

We offer solutions for integrating the library into your course:

  • A librarian can present customized library instruction sessions catered to your research assignments and students' needs.
  • Instructors can require students to meet with a librarian for individualized research support.
  • All Canvas courses are mapped to the library's subject research guide or a course-specific guide. Students can access these guides from the "Library Research Guide" link in the Canvas course. If a course guide is not currently available for your course, we can build one.
  • A librarians can be embedded into a Canvas course to support students over the course of the semester.
  • We can also create asynchronous videos or learning aids tailored specifically to your class.
  • Click-through tutorials can be added to your Canvas course. We are continually developing new tutorials and can create a tutorial on a given topic on request.

For questions or to schedule instruction and information literacy services, please contact Stacey Wilson, Head of Research and Learning. If you wish to schedule up a library instruction session, it helps to include the course number, your preferred date and time, and the assignment or learning goals.
