Lasell University Launches Ignite: A New Academic and Social Support Program to Empower Student Success
April 04, 2025
Lasell University is excited to introduce Ignite, a comprehensive academic and social support program designed to help students thrive both inside and outside the classroom. Tailored to meet individual needs, this program offers personalized support in executive functioning, academic coaching, and social skill development to ensure a smoother transition to college life and help to create long-term academic success.
With two different programs, Ignite will address most unique needs of students. Students who choose to enroll into one or both programs will experience a myriad of support structures such as pre-orientation programming, individual case management, and specific milestone markers throughout the semester.
“Ignite is fully integrated into the student experience at Lasell, it does not involve separate academic coursework, separate tracks or separate tracks of study,” says Stephen Hawthorne, Director of Accessibility Service and Academic Support.
Students entering the Fall 2025 semester can learn more about the Ignite program.
"The launch of Ignite is an exciting milestone for our community," said Christopher Gray, Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management. "Lasell is proud of our supportive and collaborative environment, and this program will further enhance the learning experiences that define a Lasell education."
Lasell University anticipates strong interest in this program, which has limited capacity. Students who are not initially offered a spot may be placed on a waitlist and admitted if space becomes available. The enrollment deadline is July 1, 2025.
