Massachusetts native Andre Dubus III will speak at Lasell University’s graduate commencement ceremony on Friday, May 10th.

Andre is a critically acclaimed author, in-demand speaker, and a respected educator. His best-selling novel, the House of Sand and Fog, was made into an Academy Award–nominated film. Dubus’ work also includes a memoir, as well as numerous essays and short stories. He was a finalist for the prestigious National Book Award, and is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, The National Magazine Award for Fiction, two Pushcart Prizes, and an American Academy of Arts and Letters Award in Literature. His books have been published in over twenty-five languages.
