Biography:

Michael Palmieri received his Ph.D. from UMass Lowell in criminology with a focus on security studies in 2022. Prior to coming to Lasell, Michael worked as a visiting assistant professor at Stonehill College. His main areas of scholarly interest include cybercrime, psychological approaches to cybercrime, cybercrime offender decision making, terrorist activity online, and the crime/terror nexus. While working on his master's degree, Michael worked with a consultant to help evaluate a veteran's treatment court in a southern U.S. state. He also earned both his bachelor's and master's degree from North Carolina Central University where his focuses were primarily in homeland security and law enforcement.
