Lasell Welcomes Students Back to Campus for Fall Semester

September 05, 2025

Lasell University kicked off the fall semester with a week full of energy, excitement, and community as students returned to campus for the 2025–26 academic year.

On Saturday, hundreds of first-year students moved into residence halls under bright, sunny skies and perfect 70-degree temperatures. President Eric M. Turner personally welcomed each student and their families as they checked into the Michael B. Alexander Science and Technology Center, marking his third move-in weekend since being named president.

This year's incoming class reflects Lasell's growing national and international appeal. The class includes students from nine countries and 24 states, spanning all six New England states plus Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wyoming. 86% of first-year students are living on campus.

Returning students arrived on Monday, reconnecting with friends and faculty they hadn't seen since May. Throughout the weekend, Lasell's fall athletes could be found across campus, lending helping hands as families carried boxes, TVs, and mini fridges to dorm rooms.

Tuesday morning brought the official start of classes, as campus was buzzing with energy. The week culminated on Thursday afternoon when the entire community gathered on Arnow Quad for the annual Lasell U-Belong celebration  - one of the most popular events of the year.
