The Office of Health Education

Who We Are

Health Education is an exciting and important part of Lasell University. The Office of Health Education is a department within the Office of Student Affairs, and specializes in wellness programs and health resources for Lasell University undergraduate students. We strive to create an awareness of preventative health strategies that can last a lifetime.

We believe that to be a successful college student, it is important to focus on your holistic wellbeing; with this in mind, our office focuses on education and programming on the following areas: 

• Mental Health and Wellness
• Sexual Health and Education
• Sexual Assault and Intimate Partner Violence Prevention
• and Alcohol and Substance Use Safety

Our Mission

The mission of the Office of Health Education is:

• To create a health-conscious culture within the Lasell community
• To educate about informed and positive decision making
• To promote lifelong learning for students through peer education and wellness programming

The Office of Health Education offers a variety of programs including interactive, peer-led programming, health and wellness awareness campaigns, and campus-wide events.

Events & Programming

The Office of Health Education coordinates events and interactive programs with the Peer Health Educators, as well as other campus and community partners; past events include:

Peer Health Educators

Through the Office of Health Education is the Peer Health Education program, created to foster peer leadership and education around issues related to health and wellness. Peer Health Educators are trained throughout the year to be informed about issues that affect college students so that they may be a resource to their peers, and offers the opportunity to get involved in health promotion and be a leader in the Lasell community.
