"I chose Lasell because when I came here for a field hockey overnight, I felt at home. I can have a relationship with my peers, professors, and community here."

Why did you choose Lasell?

I chose Lasell because when I came here for a field hockey overnight, I felt at home. On the car ride home, I said to my mom that I could pack my bags and go stay longer. In that moment I knew Lasell was the right fit for me!

The small class sizes also influenced my decision. I can have a relationship with my peers, professors, and community here which made me feel comfortable and supported.

What clubs, athletics, organizations are you involved in?

I am on the Field Hockey team, the Blue Key Society which works in admissions, peer mentor, and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)

Have you had an internship? What were your responsibilities?

I have had the opportunity to intern at Advanced Sports Therapy. Through my internship, I gained valuable hands-on experience working with clients recovering from injuries, which deepened my understanding of the rehabilitation process.

My responsibility have been working with clients and ensuring proper technique, sets, and reps when completing the exercises. I learned how to effectively work with individuals at different stages of recovery and how consistency, patience, and proper technique play a critical role in progress.

This experience directly connects to what I am learning in my coursework, particularly in areas related to human anatomy, physiology, and injury recovery. Being able to apply these concepts in a real world setting has helped reinforce my academic knowledge and made it more meaningful.

This internship has strengthened my desire to pursue a career in physical therapy. Observing clients progress over time and seeing the impact of rehabilitation on their quality of life confirmed my interest in attending physical therapy school and working in a field where I can support others in their recovery and overall well being.
