I was a cybersecurity and AI intern where I contributed to projects by conducting risk assessment, researching responsible AI safeguards and best practices, and introducing product features.”Why did you choose Lasell?

I chose Lasell because when I visited the campus I instantly felt its sense of community. I could see myself being a part of the small, close-knit group.

What clubs, athletics, organizations are you involved in?

I am a Cybersecuity major and am the student chapter leader and founder of the Women in Cybersecurity chapter at Lasell. It is a group built to form a community and foster education and passion for all in the field of cybersecurity.

Have you done an internship? What were your responsibilities? My professors have helped to prepare me for my future career by giving me projects that I can use on my resume and portfolio.

I was a cybersecurity and AI intern at KarmicVerse where I contributed to their projects by conducting risk assessment, researching responsible AI safeguards and best practices, and introducing product features. This internship gave me real-world experience working for a start-up company and allowed me to get practical use out of the skills learned in my classes.

How has your academic program or professors helped prepare you for your future career?

My professors have helped to prepare me for my future career by giving me projects that I can use on my resume and portfolio. The Cybersecurity program also uses immersive labs, which give you hands-on experience learning new skills and tools, rather than theoretical learning.

What are your Lasell traditions or favorite activities to do on or off campus?

I like to take walks around campus, especially in the fall and spring when the trees look especially beautiful.
