Why did you choose Lasell's Exercise Science program?
I had a passion for exercise. And when I realized that there was something I could study and immediately became an interest of mine. It's a great program. There are small class sizes and the professors are well known in their field and very knowledgeable. They're here to support you and and listen.
My experience in this program has been nothing but positive. I've created a community and network of professors, peers and professionals. Without these connections, I would not have the opportunities I have moving forward in my career.
What kind of hands-on learning have you experienced in the program?
I've experienced hands-on learning this program since the first day of freshman year with my anatomy lab to all the work I'm doing with my senior Capstone project. There's hands-on learning in every class that you take in this program, whether it's catapults, force plates, or VO2 max testing.
How have Lasell's technology or facilities help you apply what you learned and gained experience?
The facilities and technology have helped me because they're things that I use every day whether it's at my internship or working directly with athletes
What internships or clinical experiences have you had?
My clinical experience here at Lasell has included working at Marathon Physical Therapy as an exercise aid, as well as working at Bando Performance where I was a strength and conditioning coach. And I've also been able to adapt what I've learned to my future career as an athletic trainer.
How has the Exercise Science program prepared you for your career?
The program has prepared me for my career very greatly, as I've already been offered two full time positions post-graduation. Without the support of the program, I would not be in the position I am in now.
What other other activities are you involved in on campus?
I'm on the field hockey team and the lacrosse team.
