What is important for your students to take away from your classes?
“I hope my students take away a passion for learning and the confidence needed to succeed in the classroom and the workplace. My professional background as a researcher and instructor influence my teaching style by acknowledging that students bring diverse viewpoints and mental models to the classroom. I empathize with my students on complex issues that may not have simple explanations. I do my best to teach with a hands-on, interactive approach, allowing for discussion and insight into criminal justice related topics.”
