Lasell University Launches National Society of Leadership and Success Chapter
August 13, 2025

Lasell University is excited to welcome its very own chapter of The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS), the largest and only accredited leadership honor society in the country. This chapter will offer students the opportunity to join an esteemed network of individuals committed to developing lifelong leadership skills.
The NSLS offers a comprehensive leadership development program designed for eligible students to refine their leadership abilities. The program consists of a 10-week, self-paced, asynchronous certification that provides participants with valuable tools to enhance their leadership potential. The first phase of the program will kick off this fall, with an online orientation set to begin the second week of September.
Through coursework, mentorship, and a DISC assessment, students will have the opportunity to learn leadership philosophies and effective communication strategies that will enable them to excel within the classroom and beyond.
Director of Student Activities and Orientation Amanda Knight said that students with a growth mindset who are committed to personal development are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity.
“If students believe that learning is a lifelong journey and that personal growth is important, this is a perfect opportunity” Knight said. “This is such a wonderful chance to continue to expand their individual skills.”
Students who meet the GPA criteria and demonstrate a level of involvement within the institution will be nominated and have an opportunity to join. The NSLS chapter also encourages alumni engagement, providing opportunities for networking and mentorship to promote a sense of community and professional growth.
Knight said she hopes to add an in-person component to the program in the second phase of the chapter’s launch in the coming months, allowing for more networking and learning opportunities for the growing program.
Students interested in learning more about the program are encourages to visit the NSLS table at the Activities Fair on September 9 from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. The table will offer an opportunity to meet current members and get further information about involvement.
