Lasell University To Add Men's and Women's Golf This Fall

A tradition unlike any other is beginning at Lasell University. 

Lasell is excited to announce the addition of men’s and women’s golf beginning in the Fall of 2026. These programs will become the institution’s 18th and 19th NCAA Division III varsity sports, marking another significant step in the University’s 175-year history. 

The addition of men’s and women’s golf reflects Lasell’s commitment to expanding opportunities for all students and increasing the value of their college experience.  

“At Lasell, we’re always looking for ways to expand opportunities that enhance the student experience,” said Assistant Vice President for Athletics Jamie Marcoux. “Adding men’s and women’s golf reflects growing student interest and helps us continue building a community where students can learn, compete, and thrive.” 

In recent years, participation in golf has seen a significant rise, particularly among youth and high school athletes. Increased access to the sport, along with growing interest at the high school level, has helped introduce a new generation of players to the game. As more students arrive on campus with competitive golf experience, Lasell will be well-positioned to meet these students where they are at.

Lasell will begin building both rosters ahead of the Fall 2026 season, with recruiting efforts already underway.
