Lasell University to Welcome Felix Commonwealth Virtual School to Campus

March 10, 2026

Lasell University, recognized internationally as a model for intergenerational learning, will take another step forward in its long tradition of innovation when it welcomes the Felix Commonwealth Virtual School to campus beginning in the fall of 2026.

Felix Commonwealth Virtual School is a tuition-free public high school that blends online instruction from ASU Prep’s Khan World School with in-person academic support, services, and enrichment opportunities. Students will have the flexibility to complete digital coursework from anywhere while also benefiting from face-to-face collaboration, social engagement, and personalized instruction on Lasell’s campus.

Lasell will serve as the first Felix site, with plans to eventually support students in grades 9-12 through a unique model that combines personalized, technology-enabled learning with collaborative, in-person experiences.

The partnership reflects Lasell’s long-standing commitment to reimagining how education can serve learners at every stage of life. Twenty-five years ago, the university opened Lasell Village on its campus - the first continuing care retirement community in the nation located on a college campus with a required educational component.

Lasell is also home to an early childhood program that includes a preschool and daycare. The addition of Felix Commonwealth Virtual School represents the next chapter in Lasell’s tradition of innovation, that dates back to 1851.

“Universities are the hubs of society,” said Lasell President Eric M. Turner. “At Lasell, we are proud to bring together learners from across generations and backgrounds. We are excited to welcome The Felix School to our beautiful and conveniently located campus.”

Felix will be the first public high school of its kind in Massachusetts located on a college campus, combining the flexibility of online learning with opportunities for in-person collaboration.
