Dining Locations
Starbucks at the Science & Technology Center accepts credit cards, Declining Dollars, and Laser Loot for specialty beverages, pastries, and snacks. The Grab Goodness program at Starbucks also accepts meal plan equivalency.
1851 at the Arnow Campus Center accepts credit cards, Declining Dollars, and Laser Loot. The Grab Goodness program at 1851 also accepts meal plan equivalency.
Late Night at Boomer's, located in Valentine Dining Hall, accepts meal plan swipes and meal equivalency. Students must swipe their meal card each time they enter the dining hall.
Students are required to swipe their meal card for each entry into the dining hall.
Meal Plans
Residential Meals Plans are:
- Laser 19 Plan
The Laser 19 Plan includes 19 meal swipes per week for use at Valentine Dining Hall. Up to five meal swipes may be used for Late Night dining at Boomer's in Valentine Dining Hall, limited to one swipe per night. Any Late Night swipes not used at Boomer's remain available for regular dining at Valentine Dining Hall.
This plan also includes $100 in Dining Dollars, which function like cash or a debit card and may be used at any on-campus dining location. In addition, the Laser 19 Plan includes two Guest Meals, which may be redeemed exclusively at Valentine Dining Hall. All residential first-year students are automatically enrolled in this plan.
- Laser 14
The Laser 14 Plan includes 14 meal swipes per week for use at Valentine Dining Hall. Up to three meal swipes may be used for Late Night dining at Boomer's in Valentine Dining Hall, limited to one swipe per night. Any Late Night swipes not used at Boomer's remain available for regular dining at Valentine Dining Hall.
- Laser 10
The Laser 10 Plan includes 10 meal swipes per week for use at Valentine Dining Hall. One meal swipe per week may be used for Late Night dining at Boomer's in Valentine Dining Hall, limited to one swipe per night. Any Late Night swipe not used at Boomer's remains available for regular dining at Valentine Dining Hall.
This plan also includes $200 in Dining Dollars, which function like cash or a debit card and may be used at any on-campus dining location. In addition, the Laser 10 Plan includes two Guest Meals, which may be redeemed exclusively at Valentine Dining Hall. This plan is available only to students in their second collegiate year or higher.
- Laser 5 Plan
The Laser 5 Plan includes five meal swipes per week for use at Valentine Dining Hall. This plan also includes $300 in Dining Dollars, which function like cash or a debit card and may be used at any on-campus dining location. In addition, the Laser 5 Plan includes two Guest Meals, which may be redeemed exclusively at Valentine Dining Hall. This plan is available only to seniors.
Students may enter the Dining Hall as often as they like during regular hours of operation. However, once a student has used all of their allotted meals during a weekly meal period, they must pay for meals at the door. Cash, credit cards, Dining Dollars, or Laser Loot may be used to pay for additional meals. Dining Dollars may be used at any retail location (1851, Starbucks, Costa Coffee, Just Baked, and the Byte Fridges) or to purchase additional meals or guest meals in the Dining Hall.
All resident students are required to participate in a meal plan. Students will not be released from meal plan participation for any reason.

Special Meals
Students who require special meals due to religious observances or medical needs should contact Lasell Accessibility Services to discuss their accommodations. Afterward, they should schedule an appointment with the General Manager and Executive Chef to review their specific dietary requirements.
Medical dietary accommodations will be provided when supported by written documentation from Lasell University Health Services or the student's physician, registered dietitian, or clinical nutritionist. All documentation must be submitted on official letterhead.
Meals During Break Times
Valentine Dining Hall is closed to meal plan use during Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break (December–January), and Spring Break. Meal plans are also not in operation during the summer months.
The Dining Hall will be open during portions of Winter Break; however, meal plans and meal cards are not valid during this period. Students may use Laser Loot to purchase meals during these times. Dining Dollars associated with meal plans may not be used during break periods.
Meal Cards
Your Lasell University ID card also serves as your meal card. Without your ID, you will not be able to enter the Dining Hall. Students should carry their ID cards with them at all times.
Meal cards are non-transferable. Students may not lend their meal card to another person or use someone else's meal card.
Meal cards should be treated like bank cards and protected from extreme heat and cold. Avoid placing your meal card near magnetic fields, such as those produced by stereos or televisions, as this may demagnetize the card and interfere with its functionality.
Do not punch additional holes in your ID card, as doing so can interfere with the card's readability. If additional holes damage your Torch Card and it no longer functions properly, you will be responsible for purchasing a replacement card.
Students should also be aware that carrying an ID card on a key ring with keys or other cards may cause scratching or deterioration over time.
