Washington D.C. Communication Trip

At the end of each spring semester, students in the Communication Department are invited to take part in a unique educational experience in Washington D.C. The purpose of the annual 3-day trip is to expose students to the media industry in our nation’s capital. The trip serves as a precursor to the full semester Washington D.C. Program offered by Lasell. During the trip, students put their Connected Learning skills to use while exploring such places as the Newseum, The Press Club, NPR, and other organizations in the communication industry.

In 2015, 8 communication students took part in the experience. Students are selected from an application process based on GPA, letters of recommendation and other competitive criteria.

My journalism class taught me a lot and I've really grown to love writing.
