International Student Orientation

Move-In Day for New Undergraduate Residential International Students

New international students may move in to their residence halls is Thursday, August 31st. Resident students should plan to arrive to Lasell between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm and check in at the Office of Student Affairs, which is on the 2nd floor of the Edwards Student Center. Students will be greeted by staff members of the Office of International Services and Residential Life and receive their  keys, a schedule, a map and a welcome letter. Students will be directed to get their student ID card from the Office of Public Safety and be shown to their residence hall. 

Please be aware that this is a move-in day only and there is no scheduled program on this day. Students and their families are invited to enjoy lunch and dinner at the Valentine Dining Hall. On Thursday evening, there is an optional trip for new students to go by van to Target, which is a large discount store located about 15 minutes from campus where students can purchase food, items for their room, clothing, toiletry products and more to make their first days at Lasell more comfortable. The group will depart from Valentine Dining Hall at 6:00 pm. 

For students arriving to campus after 4:00 pm on Thursday, August 31st, they must check-in at the Office of Public Safety to receive their keys and check-in materials. Public Safety will contact a Residential Life employee who will distribute the keys and guide students to their room is located. The Office of Public Safety is located 80 A Maple Street. Follow the driveway to a small parking lot and use the back entrance on the Ground Floor behind the Winslow Academic Center. The office is open 24 hours, however if an officer is on patrol and not at the desk, students should call 617-243-2269 or 617-243-2279.

Undergraduate International Student Orientation

 International Orientation will take place on Friday, September 1, 2017 at the Brennan Library in the Winslow Academic Center. Registration will begin at 9:30 am and the program will include breakfast, lunch and dinner.  

This is mandatory for all F-1 Visa holders. The program will begin with a visa information session and F-1 student registration. We ask that you bring your current I-20 Form, passport, F-1 Student Visa, Immunization Record and current U.S. mailing address and phone number.  In addition to verifying important immigration paperwork, students will participate in an engaging and fun presentation on American culture and what it is like to be an international student studying in the U.S. Students will also meet their academic advisor, receive the campus ID card, register for courses, and much more.

New Graduate International Student Orientation

International Graduate Orientation will take place on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 3:00- 4:00 pm in second floor of  the Arnow Campus Center. We ask that you bring your current I-20 Form, passport, F-1 Student Visa, Immunization Record and current U.S. mailing address and phone number.
