We believe that healthcare is a partnership between the undergraduate student and the healthcare provider; our holistic care services are respectful of students' personal, cultural, and social identities.

Our healthcare providers offer comprehensive primary care for routine healthcare issues, illness, and injury. Health Services is staffed by nurse practitioners when classes are in session, and during the January and March vacations. A physician is also available at designated hours.

Pharmacy and Prescription Delivery

Lasell Health Services has a partnership with Keyes Drug, a local pharmacy that delivers medications daily to Health Services. Keyes Drug is located at 2090 Commonwealth Avenue, Newton, and is a 10-minute walk from campus.

Health Insurance

The services provided through Lasell University Health Services are free for both resident and commuter undergraduate students. A student's health insurance will only be billed if it is necessary to send out labs or prescribe medications. The student is responsible for any cost not covered by health insurance.

Lasell University has partnered with Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Massachusetts and University Health Plans to provide health insurance coverage for our students. All full-time students are required by Massachusetts State Law to have health insurance coverage either through the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) or by a different health insurance plan with comparable coverage.

The student health insurance plan is coordinated through Lasell University Student Accounts. If you would like to waive the automatic insurance charge, please visit Student Health Insurance.
