Community Letter Spring 2026
Dear members of the Lasell University community,
Watching Lasell grow over the last four decades has been a true testament to the incredible students, alumni, faculty, staff, and leaders who have shaped it. Their perseverance has always pushed us forward.
Lasell has remained connected to the culture of its time; for more than a century, it stood behind strong young women who, in turn, stood tall so the next generation could stand on their shoulders.
When I entered the Lasell continuum, we were still a junior college for women. During my first year, we became Lasell College—a milestone that set the stage for what we would become. In 1992, I was a member of the first class of bachelor’s degree recipients; it was another enormous step forward for us.
Another milestone—though admittedly not one I embraced immediately—came in 1998 when Lasell went coed. While I may not have been an early adopter, there’s no denying that this change ultimately strengthened the institution.
In the years that followed, we embarked on another ambitious undertaking: bringing Lasell Village to life and embracing the belief that we are all lifelong learners. In 2019, we evolved again—this time into Lasell University. As fate would have it, I had the privilege of being part of the first Lasell University class of graduate students.
Across its 175 years, Lasell has been a source of empowerment, resilience, and vision, strengthened by generations of alumni who carry its values into every corner of society. As a Triple Laser, I feel inspired by what is to come and hope you, too, will stay connected with Lasell in ways that are meaningful to you—whether it’s mentoring students, attending events, volunteering your time, or providing financial support.
I’m excited for the next milestone (we’ll reach 200 years in 2051!) and to see how the University continues to evolve and shape the next generation of leaders. Forever Forward!
Go Lasers!
