Elise Stanbury | STACCATO

STACCATO is inspired by the evolution of jazz and what jazz means to me. This genre is a very broad term when thought about because there are so many different niches. No Jazz sounds exactly the same, and going back to the beginning of Jazz, it originally was not actually called Jazz music. It was originally known as Black African American music, or it was known as Jasm. Jasm was originally an African slang term that meant energy. So let the music feed your soul. Free your mind and enter a state of clashing notes and bold colors. Transform with the sounds of jazz, morph into your true self and celebrate. Feel good and finally feel free. Staccato represents the freedom people feel when given the chance to be genuine. Commemorate black creatives and let go of the nonsense. This is STACCATO.
