April 04, 2016

Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey will be the featured speaker at a teen dating violence prevention event, Think Peace, hosted by the Center for Community-Based Learning to benefit the Lauren Dunne Astley Memorial Fund on Sunday, April 10 from 3-5 pm at de Witt Hall.

The event, which was student-organized, will feature Attorney General Healey as well as performances by teen dance troupe Phunk Phenomenon, and the Lincoln Sudbury High School and Newton South High School a cappella groups. This event is free and open to the public

The Lauren Dunne Astley Memorial Fund was created by the parents of Lauren Dunne Astley who was a victim of teen dating violence and was killed by her ex-boyfriend in 2011 just weeks after her graduation from Wayland High School.

The mission of the non-profit charitable organization, founded to honor Lauren, is to promote dynamic educational programs, particularly those in the areas of the development of healthy teen relationships, the arts, and community service.

The event will also feature several resource tables for attendees.

Seating for the event is limited and registration is required. To reserve tickets please register at
