Lasell College: Arnow Campus Center

The campus-wide sustainability and energy efficiency efforts of Lasell College were featured in an article from High Profile, a regional print and digital development publication focused on architecture, engineering, and construction.

The article, "Greater Boston Gets Creative with Sustainability and Energy Savings," shared creative ideas from a total of five Boston-area developments, including those provided by Lasell's Director of Plant Operations and Sustainability Wayne Lamoureux. The college was lauded for a state-of-the-art energy saving mechanical system and for its commitment to recycling all food waste, which is "brought from the cafeteria to a farm ... for use as compost, a natural fertilizer." Also included was mention of Lasell's ongoing conversion to LED lighting across its facilities, as well as its investment in energy-efficient vehicles.

The college was featured alongside properties at 888 Boylston and 101 Seaport - known for their LEED certification - as well as Veolia North America's headquarters and Union Point, a mixed-use development currently under construction.
