Speaker Series to Explore Significant Presidential Elections in American History

Lasell College overseer and historian John Dirlam will give the first Presidential Speaker Series presentation of the semester on Thursday, Oct. 20 when he analyzes significant past elections and the impact they have had on American history. The talk is scheduled for 6 pm in Hamel House on the Lasell Campus.

Dirlam, a Lasell Overseer and former adjunct professor at Lasell, has taught both World Civilization and American History at Lasell, Newbury and MassBay Community College. He is also vice president of the Wellesley Historical Society.

The Presidential Speaker Series events at Lasell are free and open to the public but do require registration online.

Presentations include refreshments and hors d'oeuvres as well as a Q&A session with the presenter.
