Hats Off to Lasell Student Work in Wearable Art Holiday Auction

December 02, 2014

Students in Assistant Professor of Fashion Carol Emanuelson's Accessories Design Class have donated original work to an online fundraiser this holiday season. The Lasell undergraduates created a group of wool felt hats for the AANE Wearable Art Holiday Auction, sponsored by the Asperger/Autism Network (AANE).

The Auction, which runs through Saturday, December 14, features a number of unique, handmade accessories donated by area fashion students and artists. Proceeds from sales go to the AANE, an organization that works with individuals, families and professionals "to help people with Asperger Syndrome and similar autism spectrum profiles build meaningful, connected lives."

The Watertown-based organization provides information, education, community, support, and advocacy, "all in an atmosphere of validation and respect," as part of its nonprofit mission.
