Disconnect to Connect

Great Connections Take You Far

On Tuesday, November 13, Lasell College will celebrate its 167th year through a series of events hosted by the Student Government Association (SGA) and Student Alumni Association (SAA). Throughout the day, the community will be asked to "Disconnect to Connect (D2C)," an initiative pioneered by President Michael B. Alexander.

The D2C initiative encourages the community - including students, faculty, staff, and visiting alumni - to broaden their social and professional circles and make new connections. Each participant will receive a passport to be stamped by various offices or departments. With each stamp, participants will expand their knowledge of Lasell and their connections on campus, as well as receive Lasell swag.

To celebrate the College's founding and future, the day will culminate with the creation of a time capsule. Participants who complete their passport can exchange it for a free t-shirt and raffle entry, as well as the chance to contribute to the time capsule with an item or written memory.

Students will be stationed outside of Valentine Dining Hall and the Science and Technology Center (STC) in the days preceding the event to distribute passports.
