Five Lasell University students accepted into the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA)’s student honor society and inducted at a virtual ceremony on February 10, 2021. Program Chair and Associate Professor of Sport Management Bill Nowlan nominated the students for their academic excellence and achievements in the field of sport management.

Raymond Bruno ’21, Brandon Hapgood ’22, Bernadette Donohoe ’21, Michael Carbone ’21, and Isabella Raffone ’21 were all recognized for their achievement by the larger COSMA community at the organization’s annual conference. For each student, Nowlan submitted a 30-second nomination video acknowledging their accomplishments; the videos were shown at the virtual induction ceremony.

“A lot of good things will come from this,” said Nowlan. “Students in the COSMA Honor Society get direct access to sport management industry updates, job accreditation information, and internship and job possibilities. It is a huge advantage for when they apply for jobs or graduate school.”

In addition, the students were all able to attend the full COSMA conference for free, and received a pin and certificate confirming their achievement.
