Adjunct Faculty- Communication Department

The Communication Program seeks adjunct instructors for several in person courses in the Fall 2020 term (classes run September 9 - December 11, 2020).

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide face to face instruction for course sessions utilizing the university philosophy of connected learning
  • Maintain 1 office hour each week
  • Provide a syllabus and course outline to students that clearly communicates course content and requirements; Provide timely feedback to students and keep accurate records of their progress (grades) and complete mid-semester and final grade reports (on Canvas)
  • Incorporate Canvas (online learning management system) into the course
  • Given ongoing uncertainty due to COVID, instructors should be prepared to teach hybrid or remotely if circumstances change, and to accommodate both in-person and remote learners in the same section if necessary

Qualifications:
A master's degree or higher in Communication or a related field. Professional experience in a communication field, prior college-level teaching experience, and familiarity with online learning management systems preferred.
